- Marla Morry is an international lawyer with extensive domestic and international experience in the fields of human rights, refugee protection, democratic elections, rule of law and access to justice. In various capacities, she has worked with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, NATO, and international and local NGOs in emerging democracies and post-conflict countries in South Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Balkans, and the Middle East. Ms. Morry has substantive experience working with asylum-seekers, refugees, and returnees in a broad range of protection contexts. She has also worked in numerous former Soviet and Yugoslav Republics implementing or observing elections according to international laws and standards. In Canada, Ms. Morry has worked with Holocaust survivors seeking compensation for persecution and asset recovery, negotiating land and self-government treaties with Aboriginal groups, as a human rights investigator, and as a judicial clerk.
